"Hi my name is Alisha with Expert Village and today we are going to talk about how to child proof your pool. Alright so the first thing you want to do for pool safety is access the surroundings. One thing you want to keep in mind is the fence that is so important for children to have. You also want to keep the area nice and clean around the surroundings. You don't want to leave toys by the pool or even in the water for a child to reach in and try to grab it and end up falling. Another good thing to do is keep potted plants away from pool edges. If a child is trying to get out of the pool they may end up trying to pull on the potted plant which then fall on their head and they would not get out of the pool. So today we are just going to talk about pool safety. Installing a pool fence and other ways to have the summer months around the pool. Alright one of the first great way to fence is protecting your child from the pool is having all doors of your house locked. It is quick and easy and a easy habit to get yourself into. Another great thing to have installed in your house is to have a magnetic stripped installed. Most of these come with home security systems, buy, you can also buy one such attached to the side of the door. What happens is when the doors open you hear a chime; well it sounds like some kid just got out of the house you better go and check and see what is going on."
