What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice of arranging objects within a space to achieve a sense of harmony with the environment. It combines philosophical, psychological, geographic, mathematical, astrological and aesthetic principles and concepts to enhance energy flow within an architectural space. The practice of Feng Shui relates to the physical space as well as those who inhabit it.

Cecilia Trinh goes through your home room by room, offering home decorating advice that will increase the energy flow in your personal space. I’m excited thank you for having me out here today, me too, I called Cecilia who is Feng Shui Practitioner in Los Angeles, because I’ll like to get a Feng Shui consultation. First of all we sit down and we collect the data that they need prior to us meeting and for the purpose of this demonstration I do need a formal floor plan usually an appraisal report will have that with all the dimensions on it, the year the house was built but right now we have a floor plan for your house for this demonstration. And I would collect also the birth dates of the people who are living with you and the reason why I collect the birth dates is because every person has their own unique energy and the year the house was built also has a unique energy. So what Feng Shui does it determines how those two energies will match together and so we utilize it in a way it’ll balance both of you with you and your husband, your daughter in the household so that we can set it up where your office is going to be and what’s the best sleeping area is best for you etc, etc."
