Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with damp hair and work Nexxus Mousse Plus foam styler through hair to add texture and staying power. Then, using an air director nozzled blowdryer and round brush, blow dry hair, smoothing hair as you go.

  2. Step 2

Taking two inch sections of hair, spray with Nexxus Comb Thru hairspray, then wrap each section around the self-grip roller. Give your hair enough time to dry thoroughly in the rollers. This will make your hair easier to handle later. After 10-15 minutes, remove rollers and comb through curls gently with a natural bristle brush, smoothing hair as you go.

  3. Step 3

Create a deep side part and pull hair back. You can eliminate fly-aways by smoothing the surface of the hair with a dime-sized drop of Nexxus Designing Texxtur creme. Gather all your hair into a low side ponytail on the same side as the part and gather with an elastic.

  4. Step 4

To create the chignon, first divde your ponytail into two sections. Smooth out the first section with a natural bristle brush and twist it around itself, as if you were wrapping it around a roller. Pin it into place to create a low loop. Then, twist the end of that ponytail and loop it around again to create another loop (and pin it in place). As you repeat the process with the second ponytail, you are creating a series of overlapping loops. because you've built movement in the hair from the start, your hair should shape itself easily. Finally, finish with a light might of Nexxus Maxximum Hold hairspray for added hold.
