Step 1
An $8 dollar gauge for Tire Pressure! It is not necessary to spend that much money! I do own one, just because their handy and I am more likey to use it ..more often now!Walk into the garage or outside in the driveway and look at the "Tires" on your vehicle. You can see 5 or 6 lbs difference of less tire pressure, but not a pound or so! Now just because it is obvious (Air deficiency) by comparing it to other tires on that vehicle) that doesn't mean you run down to the nearest $0.75 Air pump and fill the tire up until you get your 75cents worth! No, No, No (Thanx Amy W.) What you do is find (in your glove box, right amylaine?)the Tire, Air Pressure Gauge! You must spend 75ct. to over $10 to acquire this little but mighty tool!

Step 2
Remeber that the tire information, is simply that! You need your Car book or info from the doors etc. to make your next move! The most important thing you can do to preserve a tire's durability, handling, wear and tear, gas saving and load carrying capacity is to maintain its intended inflation pressure. Many incorrectly believe that the correct inflation pressure for the tire is the maximum inflation pressure designated on a tire's sidewall. Not true, the correct inflation for a tire is designated by the vehicle manufacturer and can be found on the tire information placard (sticker) located on a vehicle's door jamb, glove box, fuel filler door, or in the owner's manual. The vehicle manufacturer designates this pressure to balance the car's handling, ride comfort, and load-carrying ability. Inflate tires to this pressure and take the time to check them once a month when tires are cold (before they've been driven more than a few miles), as tires can lose air over time and with temperature variations. You just keep your eyes on the tires for your own safety etc.

Step 3
This is an exteme, but myApplying the tool on the tire stem is not as easy as it would appear though! First, remove all the tire stem caps on all the tires! Now, don't lose them! Although you are not going to hell or even lose Air in the tire! But, this way you can move from tire to tire quickly for a pressure reading and also to add "Air" when it is needed! Hold the Air Tank hose with it's similarly shaped end on it, attach it to the tire stem! You may need two hands to do this! Use the left hand to hold the tire stem by it's neck and the right hand to apply the Air Hose apparatus evenly and semi forcefully to the end of the stem, so you don't lose the air in the tire you have in it already, but to add more! Attack this like you would changing the engine... This way you are more likely to get it right the first time, instead of trying to achieve proper air level for one tire for a 1/2 hour! It takes practice, but you know what they say!

Step 4
Motorcycles, Scooters, Bicycles, All things that inflated should be measuredGetting a well balanced, tire/auto ratio of Air in all tires saves you money, safety for you and your passengers and the world more than 4 million gallons of fuel a day! Very Cool, Very Green!
