1. You need must have a wedding toast if you don't you can write one. purchase a wedding toast book that has pre written toasts. If you are writ ting the toast you want to keep it to about 2-3 paragraphs long. You need to decide what type of toast that you want to give. there are several types. Humorous, serious, sentimental, best man toasts etc..

2 Once you decide what type of wedding toast is for you then you can better decide what you want the toast to say to the newlywedds . You need to Keep everything focused on the positive don't bring up negative subjects or past relationships. This is to be uplifting not a roast.

3. Now that you have a toast you need to practice it. Knowledge is power and with out it we are lost.You want to memorize the toast so that when you give the toast so it flows smoothly and doesn't sound mechanical like you are struggling to remember it. It takes at least 20 times of going over something before our memory can start to recall it fairly well. Start out with the first sentence look over it and then say it to yourself until you can say it without referencing it from the paper. Then start with the 2nd sentence and do the same repeat it till you know it by memory. Now say the first & second sentences together till you know them well and can say them comfortably. Repeat the process for each sentence then putting it all together. The important thing to remember is don't get overwhelmed by the whole toast. Break it down to bits and chunks. This makes it manageable.

4. When you are finally to the point where you know the entire toast repeat it at least 20 times and really focus on the words as you say them. Tell yourself this is really important and when it is time to say the wedding toast you want your mind to recall it to the front of your memory.
