Step1
You need to review the idea of Greatest Common Factor before learning how to factor. I briefly discuss it in the video
Step2
Sometimes factoring requires trial and error, especially with trinomials. Remember that not everything factors. Things that don't factor are considered prime.
Step3
Remember to always check your answer by multiplying the polynomials to make sure you get the answer that you started with.
