Pick out an outfit and a Brat Strap. Select an earring and slip it through the eyelet to attach it to the Brat Strap. Most people use a colored gem stone earring that matches their outfit, while others prefer a dangling diamond earring. This option is completely up to the wearer and the earrings are always changeable.
With your outfit on, attach the first part of the Brat Strap. Hold up your Brat Strap with the jewelry facing you. Attach the right garter grip to your right strap. This will hold it in place on that end.
Attach the other end. Take the Brat Strap behind your neck and attach the left garter grip to your left strap.
Adjust the Brat Strap. With both hands, slide the garter grips down your back to the proper height you'd like it to be. You can adjust to find the right spot for you.
Examine everything. Make sure to check everything out in the mirror before leaving. The Brat Straps usually stay in place even for activities such as dancing, etc. If everything is attached, you're ready to go.
