"Welcome to Expert Village, this is Kim Brown. In the segment, we are going to be talking about prepping your hair, getting it ready to do your hair up for your wedding day. If you want to go with your natural hair and your natural curls, we are going to be showing you that. We are also going to be showing you out to set your hair. But first, we are going to be talking about putting some product in it, to make it more workable for your day without having to do a lot to your hair. We can add a little bit of curl, but first we are going to be just talking about adding a little bit of product. This is taffy, and it’s a pomade. I put a little bit in my hands and work it all through, kind of warm up the product. Then all these little tiny hairs that want to stick up, we are just going to be fingering it through the hair. You can already see where those hairs are laying down. So you go around your hairline, that’s where mostly they want to kind of frizz out a little bit. Then just finger it down trying to keep as much curl as you can. On the day, if you are going to plan on using your natural curl, you want to do everything you can to keep as much natural curl as possible in your hair. So that means shampooing it, picking it through in the shower; before you get out and before you do any kind of drying to your hair, you want to pick through it, and then you want to scrunch it. Then, with the towel, and then put your gel or your mousse on, whichever you use that works best for your hair; and then let it dry natural or dry it with the diffuser, so that you keep as much natural curl in your hair as possible. You can use some shine, a gloss, that also makes it a little easier to work with your hair. Again, you just put that through your hands and then apply it over the hair, and this will just help make it more manageable and more workable.
