"Hi, this is Doug Benson on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you how to balance your checkbook and as a result become a better manager of household finances. The second tool that we are going to need is your account transaction register it comes with part of your checkbook. If you don't have a checkbook and rely completely on electronic transactions you can pickup one of these at your bank. This register should contain all of your transactions that you make throughout the month. This should include each check that you write each ATM or debit card purchase which will also include the ATM fees, electronic purchases online and each of your deposits. Whether or not you visited the bank or the deposit was made electronically.
