How to Use Flickr Groups

"Hey everybody! My name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. Okay, the next thing I'm going to teach you about are groups. If you've ever joined a message board or anything like that before you should be familiar with groups. If you go up here and click groups, it'll show you the groups you're associated with. Right now, I'm not associated with any, but I'm going to type in the search box here and type funny cats and see what comes up. There are a lot of groups about funny cats. I'm just going to go ahead and click the top one called funny cat. It'll show you some pictures at the top. Now, what a group on Flickr does is you join it and you add pictures to the pool. What this is people can come into the forum and just look through the pictures that people have added here. If you want to join a group, just go down here and it'll say join this group. Just click there and it'll give you some rules and tell you a little bit about the group. I'm going to go ahead and click okay join. Now I'm a member of the funny cats group. With groups, you can post your pictures to the pool. You can participate in discussions of different topics and such things. I'm going to show you how to...If you go back to home and go to your photos. If you want to post a picture to the pool, just click on the picture you want to add and go up to...It'll say send to group up here above the picture. Go ahead and click that. It'll give you a list of all the groups that you're a member of. The only one I'm a member of right now is the funny cats one we just joined, so I'm going to go ahead and click funny cats. Click okay and it sends my picture to the pool in funny cats group. Now to get back to the group, if you want to go up here and click groups, it'll show you down here the groups that you belong to. Go ahead and click that, the funny cats. Now you'll see the group photo pool. There's the picture I just added. That's a little bit about groups. If you want you can also start your own group. Go up to groups and create a new group. I'll let you figure that out for yourself and I'll move onto something else in the next clip. "
