How to Add & Use Contacts on Flickr

"Hey everybody! My name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. There's also a social networking aspect to Flickr. You can have friends and join groups of such things. I'm going to teach you how to add a friend at this point. You want to go up to click the arrow next to contacts and click people search. This is the easiest way that I know of to do it. It'll give you a little search box. I'm just going to put it in the name of another account I have. Here it is. It comes up with that. It'll show you the member you just searched and it'll show you their little buddy icon right here. If you click beside that it'll give you a list of things you can do. I'm going to click add as a contact. I'm going to mark as friend. Go ahead and click okay. You can also add mark as family, but I'm going to mark this one as friend. Like I said, click okay. If you go back up to contacts and click the arrow again. Click on contact list. It should now show up as a friend. Things you can do with that is if you look up here, you'll see a little mail icon. Click beside one new. I've got message here; it just says welcome to Flickr. This is just a default message that they send you when you join them. I'm going to go ahead and delete that. Now I can send pictures, I can send mail, and all kinds of cool things to my list of contacts. I'm going to click compose a new message. Here's a list of my friends. Click my new friend. If you've ever used web based e-mail before, you should be immediately familiar with how this works. I'm sure you can figure that out for yourself. Go up to contacts and just click there. You can click contact list and it'll show you everybody on your contact list. Just click on them it'll show you their photos. It'll show you their sets. I hope you can kind of see now how everything's coming together. "
