Flickr is an online community-based website which allows you to upload and share your photos and digital images with friends, family, and the entire world if you so choose. Flickr is a very popular web tool for anyone who wants to share pictures or use it to organize and store photos online. The service also uses tags, comments and browsing tools so that users can view other photos with similar subjects or topics by category. Flickr account holders decide whether or not to make their photo albums public or private.

In this free online video tutorial web expert Matt Nichols shows you how to use Flickr. He demonstrates how to set up an account, how to upload pictures to your albums, how to use the tags and descriptions, and how to edit, rotate and resize your digital images to your specifications. He also explains how to use the batch edit feature, buddy icons, create notes and add comments, as well as use the privacy features for photos you don't want the world to have access to. For those of you who don't know what flickr is, it's an online photo sharing website. You can get to it by going to www.flickr...that's F L I C K R.com. There's no E in there. When you go there, you will see something very similar to this. From here, you can search other people's photos. Say you want to look for pictures of castles. Just type in castle and search. You will come up with more pictures of castles than you can ever possibly need. You can also upload your own pictures for the world to see. There's a lot of other really cool things you can do with Flickr, which I'm going to teach you all about on the next couple of clips. The first thing you need to do to get started with Flickr is to create an account and in the next clip, that's what I'm going to be teaching you how to do. "
