How to Join a Facebook Network

"Hello, my name is Melissa Schenk on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're talking about Facebook. Now, in this segment let's talk about networks, how to join them, what are they, let's take a look. To the right of friends you'll notice networks. So if you want to join a network first, let's click on networks. You'll notice this is all of the information about different networks that you've joined. If you click on the little arrow to the right, let's first search various networks or browse them. You'll see you can browse them by regions, colleges, workplaces or high schools. Basically a network is a group of people that have come together in exactly that a network. So if you want to join a network you can also click on join a network. I've subscribed to one network in London, Ontario, you can also join a college network for instance or a work network. So you want to take a few moments to have a look at all of the different networks you can join because there's certainly a lot of them. Once you've got a chance to join perhaps a couple of different networks, in this upcoming clip we're going to discuss changing your settings, because you can indeed change some of your settings on Facebook. We'll also have a look at some of the notifications you can send to yourself and did you know that you can actually add Facebook to your mobile phone."
