"Hi, my name is Shelby on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to potty train today. In this segment I'll be discussing how important it is when accidents do occur not to make your child feel bad. Always accidents happens, tell them if it upsets them cause sometimes it does going from a diaper to an underwear and then having those accidents, they're embarrassed at school or with a friend. So you never want to make them feel bad, you always want to have positive encouragement, never negative reinforcement. Always say, "that's okay you had an accident, it's alright we'll change you no big deal." It's fine. Then also if they do have an accident and you're at home, it is a good thing to let them sit in, you know if they peed to feel that uncomfortableness for maybe 10 to 15 minutes just so they know this is not a comfortable feeling, maybe you know what? I'm going to use the potty next time I feel like I have to go to the restroom instead of peeing in their clothes. If they poop, the same thing, let them sit in it 5, 10 minutes just so that they have that uncomfortable sensation and they know not to do it again. But never ever let them feel bad for it, always it's okay it's just an accident and you know never make them feel bad, it's a learning process and they'll get it."
