"Hi! I am Marianne on behalf of expertvillage.com, I will be discussing dinning etiquette. This topic will be the proper usage of your knife and fork. When using your knife and fork to cut meat, place the fork on the meat and make sure that the knife is cutting thoroughly through the meat, so that you are not ripping it off the fork or off the knife. In European or Continental way to eat is placing the bite with your left hand up to your mouth and continually eating like that, cutting and eating. It is okay also to cut several pieces of the meat with your knife and then you want to lay it down on your plate. Then you can switch hands with your fork, and you want to not, some people say harpoon or jab the fork, into the food so that you hear the clicking on the plate. You just want to gently pierce the food item and bring it up to your mouth. That is the proper way of using your knife and fork."
