"Hi! My name is Marianne and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I will be discussing dining etiquette. The first point that I would like to start with is your posture while seated for dining. It is important to scoot up to the table so that you just have a little bit of room between your body, your stomach, and the table. If you sit too far back, you are going to tend to slouch. It’s important to sit up real straight. It not only looks good while you are dinning, but it also promotes good digestion. Another point too is not to cross your legs, because that really inhibits good digestion. It’s okay to cross your ankles. That is the proper way to sit. Also, when you are sitting, the distance that I just mentioned, you can gently rest your forearm on the table. "
