"Now we are going to learn how to say nice to meet you in Japanese. Nice to meet you is hajime mashite. Repeat after me hajime mashite. It sounds good. The word hajime means beginning or for the first time and mashite as some politeness. So hajime mashite is nice to meet you. Repeat after me again hajime mashite. Remember every constant has to be followed by vowels. Try to say all the sounds in Japanese words hajime mashite. Very good. We don't really have custom to shake hands you can but commonly we bow with hajime mashite. So if I'm meeting you for the first time I will be hajime mashite. Make sense? "
