"Hi welcome back you are with Gala Gal Jenelle. I'm Janelle Taylor a certified Benefit Auctioneer Specialist by the National Auctioneers Association. I'm here today on behalf of Expert Village to tell you more about bachelor auctions. Key number five is finding an appropriate auctioneer who specializes in fund raising. Now, you must understand bachelor auctions are a very unique kind of fund raiser. Well it is always best to have a professional benefit auctioneer or fund raising specialist to conduct your auction. It is especially important with a bachelor auction. They must be conducted a live auction. A live auction has the ego, the intensively, the excitement and the pure involvement as everyone watches to see who is bidding. Now, a live auction also allows the crowd to feel like they are part of the action even if they are not bidding on this particular bachelor. You might be able to use a DJ, a news caster or a predominant celebrity, however keep in mind that while they are trained to be great spokes people they may not be trained in all the tricks about how to encourage more competition and more bids equals more money raised for you. So, keep in mind that many organizations do hire outside professionals like an event planner or an auctioneer to assist them and you can always look for that person who has experience specifically with bachelor auctions. There may not be that many of us out there, but it is important to find someone who understands the delicacy of auctioning dates to the public. You want to make sure that you are auctioning, whoever that is, will be light hearted, playful and able to banter with the guests and also with your candidates your bachelors or bachelorettes. That's going to make the most entertainment event and entertainment means more bids. Again, more bids means more money raised for your bachelor auction."
