"Hello I am Elena Brouwer from the International Etiquette Center in Hollywood, Florida. Website is etiquettecenter.com. Talking about good table manners, sometimes we are served the food by a hostess in her home and we are into the habit of seasoning our food. It is really in poor taste to season your food before you taste it. Go ahead and taste it, if something needs a little bit extra, then you reach for it. If you start seasoning your food before tasting it what you are telling the person is your food is not going to be very tasty, I already have to season it before tasting it. So make sure that you do not do that. Even in a restaurant it would offend the chef to know that you are doing that to the food that he spent so much time preparing. Seasoning after tasting all the time. "
