"Hello I am Elena from the International Etiquette Center in Hollywood, Florida. Website is etiquettecenter.com. Let’s continue with our table manners, we have picked up our silverware the correct way with the index finger in the back and the index finger on top of the knife, now we are ready to eat. We are first going to eat American style; you hold your food with the fork. You will cut going in one direction, no need to sew back in forth just one direction. When you have cut one or two pieces, you will place the knife on the edge of the plate with the sharp edge looking into the plate. You will now switch your fork to the right hand, your left hand will go on your lap and you will eat whatever you have cut and something else that you might have on your plate. When you are finished with those two pieces that you have cut and other things, you will again switch your fork to the left hand, turn it down and pick up the knife and continue to eat in the same procedure."
