"Hello! This is Ann Neyer, I am here to talk to you about the readiness that is needed for kindergarten. Kindergarten is a very important grade level and it is something that parents and family needs to know what to do, how to prepare your student for the coming school year. One of the topics that I will mention at this point in time is name writing. Students attempt first and last names. This is part of an exam that is given in the beginning of the year in kindergarten and what teachers are looking for when the children are writing their names if they are going from top to bottom when they are writing the letters, they are having proper spacing between the first and the last name, that you are going and staying within the lines of the paper, all these are the things that teachers look for in the beginning of the school year for kindergarten. Again it is important that you practice ahead of time to go over names, to correspond sound with letter when you are doing the names of your students or your children at home."
