"This is Ann and we’re here to talk about being well informed. As a parent it is very important that you know what’s going on in your school. To be well informed means that you should first of all read all school bulletins that come home and react to them, if the school is asking for information or signatures on any particular pieces of paper, you should take the time to do it and in particular, homework. Many of times teachers will send home bulletins where you need to sign confirming that your child has done whatever homework that has been requested. Again very important to go to the parent meetings so that you know what’s going on at your local school. Another point to take into account is that you volunteer and that you’re active at your school site. If you go to school from time to time and spend some time within the classroom, you’re going to be able to answer all the questions that your child will have in regards to play time, to school schedule and what’s required to learn for the school year. If you’re active and seen at school your child will be very happy and feel that you’re part of the team and we’ll feel comfortable knowing that you’re there from time to time to support your child and to make him happy. He knows you’re there and you love him. "
