"Hi, I am Drew Fendy here today to demonstrate how to install a jack for your telephone for ExpertVillage.com. Now we are going to talk about the equipment that you need to install your phone jack. We have a choice if it is just going to be a regular telephone, use a Cat 3 type wire, if you are going to use your internet on it, it is more money but I would buy a Cat 5 cable, which you are going to have a lot less noise on it. We can install a flush mounted jack into the wall; this is a dual one you can get it with a single or a dual. Or we can surface mount it and when you buy these make sure that you are not getting just the cover. This is what we are going to insert into the wall and later wire this into it. And these staples we will need to secure the cabling if there is any surface cabling."
