on 8/2/2008 Thanks, Jon! You just saved me a lot of money I think! Does it matter if I get the wires reversed when I replace them on the new speakers? I assume it does. Any rules of thumb? "White on right"? Or the reverse of that? Thanks.

" Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be taking you through your step 4 in our procedure for replacing a front speaker. Now again when you get a new speaker for your vehicle, you want to make sure that you get the same size. Here we have a 3 ½ inch speaker so I’ve got a new 3 ½ inch speaker and we are going to go ahead and connect it. If you flip the speaker over, there are two points where the wires will connect up with. Now on your old speaker if you did cut those ends off, if they were soldered off or you had to cut them off, you can buy these ends at radio shack or any other dealer. Once you get these ends put on, you can go ahead and slip them on and make sure that they are secure and you can go ahead and replace that speaker and you want to make sure that it lines up with the holes for screwing it back down.
