"Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be taking you through step 5 in our procedure for installing a new car stereo. The next thing that we need to do in installing our new car stereo is to put our hold down screws in and these kind of serve two purposes. One is just to hold the radio down there securely and the other one is that if someone tries to steal your stereo, it is a lot harder for them because they have to either take those screws out or just rip it out altogether. As we take a look at the holding screws, my new stereo did come with some; however, the holding screws on my old stereo were working just fine, and I know that they already fit this car so I am going to go ahead and just use the same ones off my old stereo. I am going to go ahead and put these in here and make sure they line up with the holes in the dash and screw them down. As you tighten them, you want to make sure that you get your radio positioned just right. Lastly, you want to check to make sure that your radio is securely in your car."
