Allegro in Full for Classical Guitar

"Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I’m a professional guitar instructor, and today I’ll be discussing some advanced classical guitar pieces. Okay, the last I’d like to discuss is the piece Allegro by Mauro Giuliani in it’s entirety. Once again, as I’ve stated before, we’re in the key of A minor. There’s a lot of A minor chords and different inversions of A minor, both 1st and 2nd inversions, as well as 5 chords, E majors and E7s in different inversions of those. Watch for your dynamics. Notice that the P starts off in forte, so it starts off loud. Decrescendos down on the 3rd line to a mezzo forte, so it’s going to soften up a little bit there. It will crescendo back up at the beginning of the 5th line and then decrescendo back down as well as retard at the end and end very softly on the octave A notes. Watch for your planting. Make sure you’re constantly planting your PIM and A fingers and applying downward pressure, even when you’re playing at a softer dynamic."
