Cleaning Personal Computer Filters Tips

"Hi! This is Bobby Hester on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this next clip, we’re going to demonstrate how to clean the air filter on a computer. Let me pull the air filter out of this computer right here. There is my air filter, and you could see that it just covered in dust. Now, it does not take very long at all for this air filter to get that dirty, because there is a huge amount of air flow going through the computer. The filter is doing its job, it’s collecting that dust before it gets inside the computer. So periodically, I would clean mine probably once every 3 weeks. It depends on how dusty your environment is. You might want to clean it more often than that, or may be a little less, may be once a month. It’s always good to keep your air filter clean, otherwise you’re going to have to open your computer case and blow out the inside of your computer. If it’s really dusty, I like to go outside into the garage, or on the back porch or whatever, and clean the air filter there, that way it doesn’t blow dust all over the house. For this demonstration we’ll just do it right here. You can get your compressed air, and just blow from the backside. You see that dust really come out of there. You just keep doing that until you see that no more dust comes out of the air filter. Once that you’ve got it all out of there, then you can reinstall your filter, and you are good for probably another 3 weeks."
