"I'm Cat Tiffin with Expert Village and today I'm going to walk you thru to make a New Years resolution and stick to it. Alright, lets talk about now is actually what to do if some of these resolutions don't work out, positive thinking. I made the list on what to do when the resolutions don't work out, and I caught myself because some of mine has and some haven't. If the resolutions don't work out, re-evaluate your goals. Maybe dropping 150 pounds in one year is a little unrealistic especially if your not Jerrod and you're not eating sandwiches everyday, twice a day. Maybe need to tailor some of your goals, don't give yourself a month to do something, maybe give yourself four months to do something, not that we're talking about procrastination we're just talking about good planning. Plan, make list is so you can refer back to, I just used a piece of paper today just to illustrate a point, so I can write a little bit larger, but I actually have a small notebook that I can carry around in my bag and I make notes in it every single day. What I'm trying to change. What I'm changing, how I did, what I would do differently, what works. Again this isn't to beat yourself up, this isn't to make yourself feel horrible about the goals you didn't reach, it's about taking things one day at a time, one week at a time, one month at a time and planning appropriately, basically it's an ancient mind set, it's not well who's fault is it this didn't work out, it's identify the problem and fix it, it's very simple, that's it. I went on a binge and I had way to much to drink in the past two weeks, why, was it a holiday, was I going thru an emotional turmoil, was it somebody's bachelor party, divorce, promotion, birthday, anniversary, there are different things and different reasons, we go thru cycles. So identify the cycles, things that you can see coming up, well, I know that I've got Bob's bachelor party around Valentines day, well I don't want to be drinking to much because I'm single but I also don't want to be going crazy because there's a bachelor party and that's what we tend to do, so know yourself."
