"Hi. I'm Cat Tiffin, with Expert Village and today I'm going to walk you through how to make a New Year's resolution and stick to it. Now, I know it may seem a little silly, but, by doing this and just putting a notation up here, for what they stand for, is going to help you out. When you can see the progress that you're making and look at the progression of things, you have goals to shoot for. Let say you didn't do very, obviously, on this Monday, so, next Monday, you're going to work harder, and maybe work that much harder the following Monday. And it's easy because, some people choose to tear these out, my suggestion would be to, actually, leave the pages in, so you can refer back, January to February to March to April, to track your progression. I think that that's a good thing and it's going to help you out. Most people, I think the statistic is, that they stop their resolutions somewhere around Valentine's Day. If this is something that you're serious about, it's one of those things that, I've heard it said, you make time for what's important in your life. If you want to change your life, make time for it. Don't just expect that, if you stop eating at a McDonald's, that you're going to drop thirty pounds and be the build that you want to be for, you know, the summer months. Put a little effort in to it, put a little thought. This isn't something you want to just dive in to. It's something you need to literally set goals for yourself. And, the following month here, let's say that, ah, you have a date in mind. Let?s say that you have a friend's wedding, in June. Okay? On the twentieth, okay, or twenty-first, we'll make it a Saturday. Your friend's getting married on Saturday. Julie's wedding. Let's say that, uh, Julie's asked you to be one of her bridesmaids and you know how those dresses make you look. No matter what they do, no matter what your friends say, they're going to try and pick the least flattering dress ever, to make the bride look better. And you know what? That's just the way it works. Okay? What you want to is set a goal. You've got July here, June, whatever. Okay. You've got six full months to reach your target weight. Let's say that, uh, you're at, you know, a hundred sixty right now and you want to be down to one hundred and forty pounds. So, one-forty is the target right here. You make different notations, weigh yourself once a week, maybe every two weeks if that's going to help you out. Let's say, in May, here, on this Tuesday, you're at one-forty six pounds. If you reach a place where you look good, and you feel good, stop. Don't beat yourself up over a couple pounds. It's not worth it. But it is something to think about and something like that is easy to track your goals."
