"Hi! I'm Cat Tiffin with Expert Village and today I'm going to walk you through how to make a New Year's resolution and to stick to it. Now, the first thing that you would like to do is actually set a list of realistic goals for yourself. If your goal is to stop smoking, then obviously, you don't necessarily want to quit cold turkey. As someone who you use to smoke, I understand it's difficult. What you want to do is say okay I'm going to cut down on my cigarettes and eventually taper off. If your goal at the end of this year is to be concert pianist and you've never actually touched a piano, I don't necessarily think that's a realistic goal for you. If however you're pretty good at playing the guitar and you want to definitely learn 5 or 6 new songs from a new album that you got that you love by the end of the year, I think that is a realistic goal. You would need to actually jot some of those down. I'm going to show you how to do that here in the next clip or two."
