"Hi I’m Manny Castro, exercise physiologist. This next set of exercises that I am going to demonstrate is actually for on the plane or in a car. Now in a car obviously you want to drive into out the side of the road if you have the room to do so and you can take your time to doing these. Actually if you are on long drives, say a 3 hour drive, you should take about a 15 minute break every hour or so. This also allows for walking around getting the blood circulating a little better. If you have problem with circulation in your lower extremities this is very important. Now basically these exercises are stretching exercises and they release a lot of the tension around the muscles all over the body as you see. The first exercise I would like to demonstrate is actually a stretch so as you are sitting in the seat of your plane, basically what this will look like is you can take both legs and you want to sit up a little bit on the edge of your chair. Take both legs and you can put your feet under the chair in front of you or the seat in front of you and what you will do is with your eyes to the horizon you are going to bend down until you feel a stretch under your legs and you are going to hold that stretch for about 20 to 30 seconds.
