"Hi I’m Manny Castro, exercise physiologist. This next exercise is called the biceps curl. We are using again the long length tube and we are using the hand attachments and once again this is standing so what we want to do is step on the tube and make sure you have both sides even and keep in mind that where you step closer or farther away from the hand attachments will dictate your resistance. Now for this exercise I am using a moderate resistance and of course the tubing is stronger. What I am doing is with my hands by my side and my palms facing forward, I will bring my arms up, my elbows are close to my rib cage and they are not coming out here, I will raise all the way up and squeeze my biceps when I get to the top and pause. All the way down. Nice slow count of 3 on the way up, pause, squeeze and down. Notice I am not bringing my elbows up when I get to the top of the movement. This would then bring the shoulders into play and those are not the muscles we are targeting. Once again about 15 repetitions and 3 sets will be the trick."
