"One of my favorite things about traveling is documenting it; taking snap shots and such. Getting home and upon arrival I print out all my pictures and I have fun doing little scrap book things and putting in all the tickets, the postcard, the menus, random scraps of rememberbilia I come about along the way. I like to use this little camera just because I can put it in a pocket or a purse; it's not a burden. I always would say take a couple memory cards with you. My extra one just pops right there so that's convenient. They're kind of like gold. If photography is your thing and you want to take a huge camera, by all means go for it. Especially I would say if you're going to be on an extended vacation away for a while, I would suggest uploading your pictures online to Kodak gallery, Picasa, or Snapfish. Just in case something happens to your camera or memory card, you have your photos preserved. Also, if you're having a digital camera, remember your charger as well as the country adapter. If you're going to film route, bring your x ray proof little bag for airport security so that you can put your fill in just for extra precaution. Also, I recommend taking a little notepad with you. If you're gone for a while, things sometimes mesh together. It's good to know this is Helen and Marco eating gelato in Milan or Sheila snorkeling in Croatia. You may think that you're never going to forget these people, places, or things, or views, or memories, but chances are you will. Just to jog your memory. Sometimes for travel the ABC syndrome sets in. Another bloody cathedral, another bloody castle, etc. It's good to just take notes because sometimes your brain may be mush. Definitely, don't live your vacation through the lens of the camera. Enjoy it, be in moment, but it certainly is nice to have those pictures once you get home."
