"Hi! My name is Gary Godwin and I am the general manger for Hawley's Camping Center in Wilmington, N.C. On behalf of Expert Village, this is a video entitled how to purchase an RV. The first step in the process of purchasing an RV is what we call a meet and greet. I am an old schooler so bear with me a little bit. I actually call it the greet and meet because I want to learn to know you and you learn to know me and as we meet a little bit more, we are going to learn more about what you want to do with your particular RV. First of all, we sell campers. That is the important thing. We want you to go camping and have fun and there are three things you need to look for in purchasing camper. The first one obviously is working with a reputable dealership. Make sure to do your homework on that. Make sure and check the Better Business Bureau and see how long they have been in business. See how they helped their campers after point of sale. Second point is to work wit a reputable manufacturer. All manufacturer's no matter what they make or sell, have some issues at times so be sure to check on their background, their history to see how their track record is. And then the third thing, is obviously look for the perfect salesman for you. That is very very important because if you don't bond with your salesperson and they don't bond with you, there is no way that we can answer all the questions that you need to do and have worked on in order to purchase that RV. There is a couple of things that you also need to worry about and that is your lifestyle. How are you going to use your camper. Are you going to be camping on the weekends with the kids or are you going to be camping full time? Do you use it in your business? How are you going to use your camper? The important thing to is always, always remember bottom line dollar, you want to have fun. We have fun, you have fun. So let's talk a little bit more about meet and greet. When you come into the dealership, be sure to be honest with your sales person and also, if the salesperson is not honest with you and you catch them in a lie, please walk away. If they lie to you once, they will lie to you twice. You have to do the same thing. Make sure that they know what your name is, phone number, address and more importantly now days in society, is your e-mail address. There are a lot of things that we can do, we can do very easily over the e-mail process. Meet and greet, let everybody know what is going on. What you want to do and what you want us to do for you. Meet and greet, step 1."
