"Hi! My name is Adria, I’m one of the professional jugglers here at expertvillage.com. We’re going to learn four ball multiplexing. We’re not going to learn just any four ball multiplexing; we’re going to learn the simplest of the four ball multiplex patterns. If you remember when we started with three ball multiplex, we have one ball going up in the air, two balls splitting and then one ball being tossed up in the air between the two for the very simple three ball horizontal multiplex pattern. That is the basis of the four ball multiplex pattern. We have four balls, one ball goes in the air, two balls split and the fourth ball gets thrown up in the middle, the same as with the three ball. However, with the three ball pattern we end up with two balls in one hand and one ball in the other hand, opposite from the hands that they start with. However, with the four ball, what we’re doing is we’re going to have two balls with each hand, so the first ball goes up, then you throw up the other two, which split and you’re theoretically just going to catch that fourth ball in the same hand that you threw it with, just like I did with this three ball, incorrectly done three ball multiplex like that. Now with the four balls the pattern continues, so here we go…one up, two and that ball goes through the center and then back to four balls, two balls in each hand, up, split and a ball in the center. The way to keep the simple four ball multiplex going is you start with the other hand, it looks very complicated but you’re merely doing the same thing, up, split, center, up, split, center, up, split, center, up, split, center and that’s how you keep the four ball multiplex going, but as you can see it’s a very slow pattern, there are breaks in it so you can take advantage of this if you need a slow pattern to set yourself up for much more complicated or a faster pattern."
