"Hi! My name is Adria and one of the professional jugglers here at expertvillage.com. We are doing knife juggling, what I’m going to teach you now is what me and the juggling community like to call a kick up. As it sounds you take something on the floor and you kick it up into the air and catch it, one more time that’s a very simple kick up. Now what I’m going to do is I’m actually going to kick up a knife into a pattern, a nice high kick up will go higher than that and you control the height of your kick up by how much energy you have, now I’m just showing you what a kick up is so let me show you how to do it. You place the knife on your foot at an angle, you’re actually going to bend your foot up like you’re going to kick yourself in the butt, the handle of the knife will be pivoting around your leg, like that the leg pivot is what causes the knife to spin, the height you get from the foot, the spin you get from your leg. Once again you put the knife on your foot at an angle, you’re going to be kicking your foot up at an angle like you’re going to try to kick yourself in the butt and the handle of the knife pivots around your leg and that’s a kick up. So now here we have a kick up into a three knife cascade, this may take a couple of tries here we go, one more time and again, one more I will get this I promise you I will eventually, there we go and that’s a kick up into a three knife cascade."
