"Now, we're going to boil our penne for our baked penne and sausage casserole. We're using penne because this is an organic penne. I really like this particular pasta because it stays nice and sturdy, and it's tubular, which is great for a baked pasta so all the sauce and the cheese and everything goes in and gets caught inside the pasta. And so every time you take a bite, there's all kinds of ingredients in there. I have vigorously boiling salted water, plenty of it. I'm going to add my pasta, one pound of organic penne pasta. And that should boil. We're going to actually undercook it a little bit. That should boil for about eight to ten minutes, probably a little closer to eight minutes. I would go a little longer if I was serving it just out of the bowl, just sauced. But since it's going in the oven, we want to undercook it a little, make it a little more al dente, which means to the tooth. And that way, it won't be overcooked in the oven. When we come back, we're going to assemble the penne casserole. See ya then. "
