"Hi! This is Richard Buccola and today on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to make some good old fashioned American potato salad. Okay what I have going on now is you are going to need this utensil too, just something to stir. A nice spoon or something to stir your potatoes. While that's happening right there, I just leave that off. No cover on top and my other water is boiling. What I like to do while that is happening, I know that I can get my eggs boiling. Just be careful. I always try to put the tips in first so that they don't crack. You just put them in like that. They tend not to crack so much. It doesn't matter if they do. You'll be alright. The trick here for hard boiled eggs is that I leave them in for about 5 minutes and what I do after that is I drain them, put some cold water on them and let them just sit there. The cold water stops them from cooking and starts to firm them up. So 5 minutes for your boiled eggs. Your potatoes are going and when I come back, we are getting this American potato salad something you can actually make before you go to work in the morning. It's that fast and when you come back, you have a side plate. "
