"Hello! My name is Ron Sanders of Personal Touch Custom Auto World, and this is my assistant Sean. On behalf of Expert Village, we will now show you how to heat shrink. As you can see, there are little shapes in the tint as it was applied to the glass. What we call these shapes are fingers. What Sean now is going to do is heat these fingers out. You can use 2 kinds of cards; one is a white Teflon card. You shoot the heat gun on it. Just wiggle it back and forth a little. What the tint will start to do is make an S curl. As it make that little S curl in the finger, you then push it down. There’s no need to rush it, just take your time. The fingers will disappear. What this allows for is for the tint to have a perfect fit on most of these curved windows. As you heat it, you’re actually shrinking the film. It’s almost impossible to do this on the inside of some cars and some windows. That concludes the segment on heat shrinking."
