The earlier cuts you saw Alex making were with plasma cutter and then he cleans up the edge with the side grinder. This piece that he cutting with the grinder with the cut off wheel on it he needs good straight edges. No need to free hand it with a plasma cutter and then clean up the edges later. If you can get it straight and right and perfect the first time. As I said before it is a rough fit here to start with. He would fine tune the fit as the piece gets more into shape. From making bigger body panels for making more body panels that are the same there is more officiant tools to use. A little cut of wheel like this is pretty tricky to use, it is not very fast, the wheels are expensive and they wear out fast. But when you are just putting together small pieces on a small job like this the convenient of having the grinder right there in work area with you. Having a little board on the floor it is pretty primitive but it is fast and the most effective way to get the work done.
