The next thing Alex is going to do is to grind his weld smooth. We want to do neat work. We want to do work that's easy to rustproof. We want to have everything fit nicely. The weld sticking up is hard to paint and prime nicely. It's hard to fit things to. The part that Alex is grinding is something that gets a structural member welded over the top of it so it has to be especially smooth. It can't be bumpy or ill-fitting because the structural member wouldn't fit correctly. And, again, he's using a roll off disk of 40 grit on his pneumatic grinder.
