"Hi, my name is Mark Delgado with American Auto Service for Expert Village. Any time that you remove a bad compressor, you have to flush the AC system out, replace the orifice tube and replace the dryer or the accumulator. You are either going to have a dryer type system or an accumulator type system. Likewise, you will either have an orifice tube system or an expansion valve system. Removal installation of the receiver dryer, there is a strap around this with a bolt and you would need to take your tube lined fittings off. In a system with an orifice tube, it will be post condenser, probably running along the rail and the orifice tube will just stick into a hose and will have to be removed. There is a line fitting, so you will remove the line and it will pull out. A lot of times this will be stuck with debris and may have to be cut out. "
