"Hi, my name is Mark Delgado with American Auto Service for Expert Village. To remove the refrigerant, you need a machine the will remove the refrigerant, filter it and store it. The machine is also a vacuum pump, so once your repairs are complete you will need to remove any air out of the system by pulling the vacuum on it. That will also remove any moisture out of the system because any kind of moisture in the air conditioning system will prevent you from getting peak performance. This machine will remove refrigerant, will vacuum out the system and then recharge the system. Most vehicles will always have a tag specifying the direct charge. On the machine, you will dial in the charge amount and it will put exactly that amount in."
