"Hi, my name is Mark Delgado with American Auto Service for Expert Village. Today, we are going to talk about what the problem is with the air conditioner. We found that the compressor is no good, it has internal problems. You have to unbolt it from the engine and remove all of the refrigerant. Once you determine what part has to be removed, and the refrigerant has been removed, then you can perform the repair. If it is the compressor, unbolt it from the engine and the lines. If it is a line that is leaking, depending on which line it is, you would take those out. If the condenser is the problem, you would remove the grill and a section of the hood latch assembly to get that out. Moving on to the evaporator coil, which is inside the vehicle, you would, in a lot of cases remove the dash and it is the most time consuming part of the repair."
