"Hi! I'm Robert Wilkins from the Car Alarm Shop and we are covering basic automotive wiring part 2 for Expert Village and what we are going to go over now is how the vehicle is powered. This is the automotive battery. Of course, you've got positive and you've got negative. Every circuit in the vehicle needs power and need ground. To protect these circuits, you have fuse boxes. Fuse box will cover ignition, defroster, heater, main fuse, head light and engine control systems. If the vehicle has anti-lock brakes, there is a fuse for almost every circuit. Fuses in the vehicle must be bridged across. In the event a circuit is overloaded or short, the fuse will give you a indication that it is blown by the circuit not being across."
