"I am doing this video for Expert Village. I am going to give you a brief overview of basic electrical wiring. Now in the lock position or zero position, the key does nothing. When the key is inserted into the ignition position, it turns. Accessory 1 turns on your accessories, accessory 2 turns on your auxiliary accessories, accessory 3 will crank the car. Once the car cranks and the ignition switch is released to the accessory 2 position, all the vehicle circuits stay on. Of course when installing any electronic device such as a radio, automotive security system, remote car starter, you must duplicate what the ignition switch does. So in order for the remote starter to start the vehicle or a radio to come on, it must duplicate accessory 1 and accessory 2. "
