"Hi! This is Holly and on behalf of Expert Village we’re going to talk about self tanners. I’m going to do a little demonstration here on the face but it can be applied to everywhere on your body. One thing to remember when you’re doing self tanner is to exfoliate your skin from head to toe that’s in the shower with a scrub and getting all the dead skin cells off. Streaking usually comes from dried skin where the tan wants to stick to the dry spot and that’s where you get a dark spot, light spot, dark spot so if you exfoliate the dead skin off you’ll get a lot smoother tan. Use a Vaseline as the barrier around the areas that tend to get orangey, with this q-tip we’re just going to draw along her hairline around her face and this has a little bit of Vaseline on it I got some on the back of my hand that I’m adding to it and this will be something that you do around your knees, elbows, the tops of your feet to get that barrier so you don’t get the orange stripe. I’m going to apply in your self tanner mix well on your fingers and you just want to do light upward strokes on your face and if you’re doing your body with self tanner you just want nice circular strokes, use more than you think you have to it’s better to really get extra amount on your skin than to use too little and have one spot darker than another. So using plenty of self tanner use your upward strokes all the way to the lines, make sure that it’s well dry before you put on your clothes."
