" Thank you for visiting expertvillage.com we are going to be discussing different makeup applicators. If you want to clean your brushes and I would recommend that you do clean your brushes. Typically a good personal brush is real hair which is sable, it could be squirrel hair, camel hair, but it is a real hair and just like your real hair you can wash it, you blow dry it, you could put conditioner it. What I like to do is take a antibacterial like a dish soap and put a little bit of soap in my hand and I agitated like this and it gets it all sudsy and it is antibacterial and you rinse it out with warm water and when you are putting your brushes to dry don't put them in a cup like this because what happens the water from the bristles go down into the wood and would rot your wood and your brushes would split. So after you done washing them put them over the counter like this so that way they are kind of flat and they hang over the counter and let them air dry. You would just ruin your brushes that way and good brushes are expensive and just like real hair they would last for years and years and years if you take care of them. So once you wash them and you clean them I would say after every make over if you are doing makeovers professionally. If there your own brushes for your own self wash them every week."
