" Hi this is Matt Dinatale representing expertvillage.com and in this clip I want to educate you on choosing a external hard drive. Now we are going to talk about external hard drives. The external hard drives have the same characteristics as the internal hard drive where they have the same spindles speed, radium access time. It is just they are external they don't go inside your machine. Now there is different types of connections that the external hard drives have. If you look at this one it has USB and fireware. Now fireware, is a bit faster then USB, but you may not have fireware on your computer. Also, the case design is another factor. If your are going to be moving this external hard drive around since they are outside of your computer. You know you may be taking them on a plane or a to another office that they need to be. Like in this case here, it looks it is more sturdy it has a big classic case. It has these legs to stand on so it is more shock absorbent so it doesn't make the spindle that is inside there move and possibly skip or scratch the disk. Fashion wise, there are tons of different looks. Like this one in front when the hard drive is being access the little kangaroo on there blanks out blue."
