on 11/23/2008 Good info on using short bursts of air versus long continuous bursts. Also good info on how to hold the vga card properly on the edges and not letting the fan spin from the air bursts.

" Hi welcome back to expertvillage.com. To start things out I'm just going to take out the video cards so I can show you how dirty it is. We would clean that first. Okay here I'm just going to remove this fort molex plug that supplies power to the video card. Then I just take it slowly out of the slot and there you have it. Now you could see all the dust on top of the board. You could see if I flip the thing you could see all the dust here on the fan to. So first things first, we are going to clean this I'm just going to blow some air on it. Okay. As I blow some air you could see dust coming out a little bit. There. Make sure when you blow compress air to hold the can up right you don't want to blow like this. So make sure it is always up right. Just spray in sharp small burst. Don't spray in one continues burst. Like that make sure you get a little of the connectors to. There. Okay. Now make sure when you are cleaning stuff like this don't pull the video card or the component by the contact here just hold it on the side. Here you could see all the dust inside the heat sink. Now when you clean a fan just make sure that you hold it try not to let it spin you just want steady. Blow so air. You see that you see all that dust flying around. Okay there you go it is all clean."
